Speeding tickets/fines

I'll be coming along the A55 from Bangor to England on Thursday afternoon in the E320 I've just collected. I was going to ask if North Wales police were still petty speeding-obsessed, but perhaps I'll just keep it down to the legal limit. Has to be a first for everything...

Thru Colwyn Bay after the Rhos On Sea slip is the hot spot for mobile cameras.
Be careful, I live here, should've known better and still got caught

Thank you for the heads-up. It would seem North Wales police are still petty speeding-obsessed, then.

"The A55 has more than its fair share of traffic officers patrolling." Compare that to down here around London, where one traffic car in any journey on the M25 and environs is more than a fair share.

I'm generally a fan of the police, who do a pressurised job in often-difficult circumstances, but if you were done for 52 mph in a 50 zone, unless there were special circumstances it would seem the old chestnut: "Why aren't you out doing something useful and catching criminals?" is justified in this case. Nice to know that the crime rate in your area is so low...

I'm with Phil on never visiting North Wales.

Well on your visit to pick up the E320, call in for a cuppa.
Your passing my house!

Thank you, kind Sir, but please don't be offended if I decline; I have to get back for my dogs - I'll be away for the best part of ten hours (unless the M6 is bad southbound).
