This and that.
So I'm sitting here telling Mrs Doofus about that thing on the Today programme this morning about spider monkeys feeding doughnuts to a chimp (Zeus?) in a zoo.

Now, I can't find anything about it on the internet, alsthough I can find the story about the chimp who collects stones to throw at fat chavs (or somesuch). So was the doughnut thing an April Fool? If so, what the heck was that all about?

It's a tradition that on the first of April (otherwise known as all Fools day) that practical jokes are played on unsuspecting victims. It's been going on for years, surprised you've not encountered it before. :)

At risk of repeating myself, har-de-har.

What I meant was: if it was supposed to be an April Fool, where were the thinly disguised funny anagram-names, the puns and what was the punchline?

It sounded too odd to be real, and not odd enough to be an April fool.

And if it wasn't an April fool, then I didn't see any at all today. Apart from me reversing my car into a fakking bollard.

The Metro newspaper run an april fool joke on its restaurant review page.
They reviewed an establishment called "The Vault".
Apparently 185 people were fooled and rang in for more details..........
