Just got the car back from having the rear brake pipes replaced, as they were badly corroded. Brakes have been bled well by the garage but still feel spongy. Pads and discs are being done next month. Any ideas?
My 211 needed several attempts to get a good pedal again. Finally did it by taping (plumbers white thread tape) the bleed screws, and simultaneously using a pressure bleeder on the master cylinder reservoir and a vacuum pump at the bleed screws. Solid pedal after that.
I had made the mistake of letting most of the fluid drain out of the lines overnight and probably introduced air into the ABS unit downstream of the master cylinder.

I've had this a couple of times, especially the rears due to the proportioning valve that can be a bitch to allow new fluid to pass. During bleeding the fronts allow plenty of fluid to be pushed out but the rears only allow a trickle.
As said there is still air in there.
For me the old fashioned bleed method has worked, after a good run and heavy pedal usage.
