A spooky experience/coincidence? I was just about to call Mercedes today (phone in hand) to order a new bonnet insulation pad and adhesive for my 124, when a member on here advertises the exact same part as I am looking at.

Deal done in minutes. Spooky.

A lady traveling in Scotland with her husband, stops the car at a remote telephone box miles off the main road. As she opens the door of the phone box, the phone rings. She picks up the phone and finds herself talking to her sister who has dialed a wrong number. Very spooky.

I have quite a rare name. As of about 7 years ago there were only 2 other people in the country that hold a driving license with the same name as me (according to the nice lady at the dvla, data protection pah !). But the weird thing is in a country of 60 million odd people I have met both of them quite randomly, one I met as a duty solicitor (don't ask !) and the other I just happened to deliver to. But the weird thing is we were all born in the same month in the same year (cue the spooky music !)

Every morning, I keep seeing someone who looks exactly like me staring back from the bathroom wall! :)

Yesterday started typing an email to a pal I hadn't seen for a couple of months. Halfway through the second sentence my phone received a text from....the same pal. Woooooo!

Some years ago I had just finished doing up a first floor flat,in fact the sale was going through,I woke up on the Saturday of the Easter weekend having had a dream that the double glazed sliding door to the balcony had been smashed,I got in the car and drove 20 miles and opened the door and the window had been broken, now that is weird.

Famous story along the lines of....

Two related couples decided on a holiday, one driving from west to east of US and the other going east to west. Somewhere in the middle and completely unarranged they both drove into the same McDonalds at the same time.

I was in Madrid 4 years ago on a long weekend break with Madam Tangey. Never been before. Stay in the intercontinenetal which is a lovely hotel, but not in the busy part of town. Asked the waiter in the hotel for a bar to watch the international rugby. He told us where to go downtown and advised which bar.

So we got a taxi, and ended up in the busy/touristy part of the city, wandered around a bit and eventually found the bar.

Sitting on low stools in the bar, it came into my mind that a friend of mine was working in Madrid teaching English as a second language. I turned round to open my mouth to say to Madam Tangey that I should have looked him up, and just as I did so he walked passed no more than 3 feet in front of me.

When my wife and I were flying back to the UK from Australia, she spotted someone she recognised; her cousin. - Also flying back to the UK on the same flights (as far as Dubai), and sitting on the other side of the aisle from us in the same row.

To probably incorrectly quote Terry Pratchett, million to one chances happen nine times out of ten.

Working alongside a lift engineer this week from Birmingham and 2nd day in he mentioned an operation he'd had on one of his eyes and I said ooh I'm due one soon. Turns out he has the same eye condition as me (Keratoconus)

The next day I'm scrolling through the Facebook newsfeed and one of my friends has uploaded a picture of a lift shaft pit, I mentioned it to him and he works for the same company... Small world

A more eerie story, well not really- anybody ever woken up suddenly in the middle of the night, not moved an inch but have glanced at the time on their bedside clock, then blinked and it was daytime six hours later? I must have not moved and gone straight back to sleep, then woken up in the same position six hours later

When SWMBO and I first met she sent a Christmas card to Derek xxxxx but picked the address at random from the two that are in the Edinburgh phone book .

So, wanting my card I phoned this guy up, went round to his flat, and he was my age, my build and was up a ladder fitting a pine ceiling in his hall.
Just the job I'd been doing when I left to go pick up my card. Jeeez!!!

When I was admitted into St Thomas's hospital in London for mahoosive surgery, I was assigned a beautiful private room that looked directly out over the Thames and the Houses of Parlaiment.

As a child growing up on the west coast of Scotland, my mother often told me about her wartime experiences, as a very young nurse billeted in St Thomas's, where she had the "most wonderful views of the Thames & the Houses of Parlaiment"

Many years ago, when I was a wee lad of just 16, my mother sent me to the Chinese restaurant with £5 to pick up some fried rice and curry sauce. Somewhere along that one mile journey, the £5 had fallen out of my pocket, and I cycled all the way back home knowing my mother would hit the roof that I had lost precious money we had little of.

Anyhow, I stopped short of our house, at the bottom of our road, looked up to the sky and said, 'Please God, help me'. At that point I looked down, and there was the £5 note. I quickly turned round and cycled back to the Chinese restaurant.

On getting home, I told my mother that the Chinese restaurant was busy which explained why I was gone for some time.
