Hi Folks

Two 2020 dates have been posted on Facebook page for Sports Cars In The Park, but not yet on the SCITP website.

Sunday 3 May - Newby Hall, Ripon

Sunday 19 July - Lotherton Hall, Leeds

Depending on what else is going off “Up North” these two may be good events to add to the “Northern Calendar” for 2020.

Have family in Leeds, could be a possiblity

Having spoken to a few people when we were out yesterday Leeds is looking being a popular date for 2020. If people are thinking of traveling and making a weekend of it there is plenty to do and see in area and the North Yorkshire Moors are only an hour away are a great drive :thumb:

The problem which I've always had with the Ripon meet is that it's the Sunday before Benz on the Green.

Theoretically this should be fine for most people but if like me you work daft hours in the week, then travel down to Horndean on the Friday, it doesn't leave a great deal of time to get the car prepared. This is the main reason I've not bothered with the last couple of Ripon meets, they just limit my time the following week. Roll on retirement. :(

I actually prefer the Ripon ones to Leeds, a lot bigger and much more variation in cars. Leeds was a bit like an ASDA car park last year to be honest, not much of interest at all.

I'll probably be there again next year though...

You must have some posh cars in your local Asda car park :thumb:

I can’t do the Ripon one as it clashes with the Donington Historic Festival but Leeds looks good.

Hi all, I can make the Newby Hall @ Ripon on The 3rd May. Can not make the Leeds one this year as clashes with the Transport rallly at the Ironworks museum in Oswestry with SLKWorld.

Hi,

Welcome to our Spring, Summer and Autumn 2020 "Sports cars in the park" calendar. Building on our growing success of 2019. I pleased to announce a new exciting venue for our Autumn event of Castle Howard near York.

Newby hall tickets for the 3rd May are now available on our website. Lotherton Hall and Castle Howard tickets will also be released three months before each event.

Kind regards

@Andy1a2b , I'm interested in SCITP Lotherton Hall, providing the parking is better organised !

Hi Sarah

I can only apologise for the problem we had last year, despite my best efforts we ended up, unintentionally for many people, in two groups. Hopefully this year everything should be OK if people actually want to be parked together as the MBClub.co.uk :thumb:

To clarify things for everyone, when booking tickets for SCITP , IT DOES MATTER HOW YOU BOOK THEM!

To be parked as a “Group” at SCITP there needs to be at least 10 cars booked under the group name, if this is not achieved cars are booked under the country of manufacture, ie Germany for Mercedes

There is a specific group set up on the SCITP website for “MBClub.co.uk”

If you have do not chose “MBClub.co.uk” , or any other group eg AMG Private Lounge, when you buy a ticket it will default to your last purchase, or park you in “Germany”

So , if folk want to be part of the “MBClub.co.uk” group , please make sure you purchase your ticket under that car group. I have administrative rights for this group so can keep an eye on things.

I hope this helps to get everyone who wants to be part of the MBClub.co.uk Group parked together, and those who don’t to parked somewhere else ;)

Andy
