Sportsline

Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd say Hi and bother you with a probably simple question.

I'm looking at a 95 'N' E220 Coupe that is a "genuine factory sportsline" apparently.

No reason to doubt the guy, I just wondered what the Sportsline package consists of and whether it is considered a worthwhile option.

I did a quick search and turned up possible revisions to suspension and the steering box but any further info would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum......The best guy I can think of on this forum is Dave Elcome, I'm sure he will be along soon...he has a 300TE Sportline so I'm sure he'll tell you whats what.....

What you've pointed out sounds right anyway, as my C Sport has the lowered suspension and probably different steering to the clasic I'd thought...

yeah, that right.

slightly lower, slightly harsher, and more responsive steering.

no way to tell if it is genuine or not, without checking the shocks, and it may possibly be stamped in the logbook or something.

I *think* he said it's in the log book but the car is mint and about as genuine as they come by all accounts.
