Should I assume you mean "If I knew anything about Mk3/4 Escorts?" Never owned or wanted one, so not that interested in the specific make-up of them.

How much camber has it got?

Let's see what car or cars you own then mate ?

I found some old photo's of my sierra. Sorry for the quality but I had to scan them.

In some strange language, is that 5 degrees...??

Looks about that from your photo's. In fact it looks like your car needs quite a bit of attention.

Someone's kicked a headlamp in and nicked your numberplate, the bonnet hinges are broken, the wheel is falling off and it looks like it's got burned exhaust valves.

Are you a jobbing builder, it's just that it looks like some pikey has dumped a load of scaffolding in the back too...

Just to show that I'm not a ford hater, I'm currently doing some restoration work on this. :)

it's funny how snobby some people are when someone starts talking about fords, the fords of the 80's are iconic and i think the mk3 looks cracking mate. maybe it's a generational thing

My father-in-law had a brand new RS500 and later a brand new Saphire Cosworth back in the day. Both were tinkered with by Brooklyn.

I was around 11 at the time, and coming out of my parents 1972 Morris 1800 they might as well have been real rocketships, rather than road-going missiles!!

Great cars - he preferred the Saph, and IIRC it's the second favourite car ever. Toyota Soarer was his number 1.

I may have missed the obvious but I didn't detect any snobbery?

Nowt wrong with chrome rockers :)

Can't believe they want £43K for it.. that'd buy a low mileage C63, and I know what I'd rather have. I guess I just don't get the "fast Ford" thing :dk:.

Cheers,

Very true mate, but in a few years time the C63 will be worth 20k and the RS500 will be worth 50 k

Which will make the C63 even better value..

No snobbery from me and I can see the appeal of a sporty Mk3, but not for me.

When I was young I could have had such cars and did drive a number of Fords including Mk1 & 2 Fiesta's and had a new Sapphire.
My recollection of reliability wasn't great with any of them, having said that opting for the then new Volvo 440GLT was a reliability disaster, though it was quick in bends and much nicer inside.

I think Justin's car is very tidy, but think he should pay a bit more attention to detail regarding his mods, that camber definitely looks a bit over-cooked.
