Spotted - CLK DTM AMG how rare?

My car is with the dealer again as they are replacing the NSF suspension leg, hoping this will cure the rattle/knock.
This week I chose to have a new W211 220CDI (parked next to the DTM AMG) for a couple of days while they change the leg.
Fingers crossed it comes back all sorted this time.

Slightly OT..

Anil if it doesn't cure the noise get them to check the chassis rail / front crossmember joint for movement.
 
Still my all time favourite Mercedes.

I see them on and off at the Nurburgring. They are quick, but not Porsche quick, especially round corners.

Got the car back this evening, and they have cured the knock by replacing the leg.:)

The only thing outstanding now is the strange slight pulsing of the engine every now and then. Happens mostly after a press of the throttle, followed by very light acceleration. You can feel the a slight increase/decrease of speed - even with cruise control active.
No fault codes thrown up when plugged in.:(

He was a factory AMG test driver. Club drivers in their GT3s could easily keep up or pass, except on the straights.

Still I would have the DTM over any Porsche, including the CGT.

Probably an anomaly that takes into account the paddle shift , if you look where the gear lever should be, there is a brushed aluminium selector ...
 
Just seen a CLK DTM convertible ambling along on a very wet and murky afternoon, with a lad no older than 30 driving. :cool:

Looked remarkably ordinary in that context, and I doubt many even looked once let alone twice.
