Mercedes ML 350 blue effeciency sport.

Contacted Mercedes whom were very secretive about part numbers for the ML 350.
All they would say is mine have a colour code and I need to tell them what it is in order for them to be ordered.... But no one will tell me what the part number is?
No one knows the specs which I find quite unbelievable if I am honest. It never had airmatic fitted so should be a simple case of here is the part number for the spring/shock etc.....
Why so secretive lol
Any advice appreciated

The colour coding on the springs denote the spring rate for your specific vehicle , it is option dependent so there wont be a single part number that covers all ML`s.

Best give the springs a wipe down and call the dealer with the colour banding , that way you are going to get the correct springs for your vehicle and replace them in pairs.

Hi Judd.

Welcome to the confusing world of MB springs , as said there are countless options and the colour code is the only true indication of what spring is required .....that is assuming that it is the original spring and/or the previous owner didn't just replace them for 'ones that fit' .

I have been through this with my C55 AMG and it is not as straightforward as you would hope . MB 'secretive with part numbers ? ' ......it's a thing.

I used my cars spring colour code and then cross checked it with Sachs springs on AUTODOC to get the same colour code .
