So the rear dust plates on my recent purchase sprinter are made out of dust. The correct method of replacing them would be to remove the bearing hub, obviously a much bigger (more problematic) job than the cut and bend method I have seen alot of posts about. My question is related to the sprinters hub which seems to encase the dust shield as it is bolted with male torx bolts from the axle side... is it a simple case of releasing these bolts to allow the dust shield to free up or would it still require the removal of the bearing hub? Anybody with any sprinter specific knowledge able to offer any advice?
