My Sprinter was stolen in November and the police trashed it chasing it.
I couldn’t claim off the insurance as had no protected ncb and a high excess.
The van is at copark in York and because it’s been “written off” by my insurance co they tell me it had to be crushed.
Here’s the thing: the sides are bashed in, 3 wheels destroyed, the Front roof and front bumper were also destroyed. I also know it has a cat converter and I spent £6k on engine and power train over 2 years to make it mechanically reliable.
I can get it taken and dropped off at my house for £150+vat. But I know how much it’s worth for bits so I’m looking to do a deal with someone or find some spot locally I can have it taken so I can strip it myself. Anyone got any ideas?
It was a 62 plate with 110k on the clock. It got stolen because I dropped the spare set of keys and they were found by the wrong person. I am sad to think of it being crushed but think I’m being setup to be ripped off frankly.
Would love to do some sort of deal with someone who wants a project and to make some cash.
