Sprinter rear lights

Hi, thanks for having me.
I have a 2009 high roof LWB Sprinter, W906.
I want to replace / retro fit the rear tail lights with the 2015/2016 twin tail bulb cluster.(Mine has the single tail light bulb cluster with a separate brake light bulb. The lenses are the same.
Q: On the later 2015/16 cluster, does the top tail light share the same bulb holder as the brake light. Ie, a double contact holder with a dual filament (stop & tail bulb) fitted.
I collected some later clusters from MB & they are the same as my 2009 clusters with single contact bulb holders.
How does the brake light work with the 2 tail light bulbs please?

I have a 2013 sprinter and also wanted to have the two tail lights from each lens. I see the later bulb holders are single pole bulb holders. Did you find out how it works ?
