A friend has run Spybot on his PC and come up with:

DSO Exploit: Data source object exploit (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0\1004!=W=3

he has a further 4 similar lines.

This means nothing to me but he's worried if he should worry about this or not as it comes back after he's run and executed the Spybot Fix Problem :crazy:

Update his virus checker , do a full scan of the system and take it from there.

pain

Those DSO exploits are a pain :

Spybot used to identify mine in error and I used to let it correct the problem automatically.

A subsequent run of Spybot would show all was now correct.

When XP booted up it reset them back to what Spybot didn't like and we went round the houses week after week.

I can't remember seeing Spybot report that error for quite a while now so something has either reset correctly or I inadvertantly told Spybot to ignore it ?

Satch - that's brill - thanx everso :D

Have a point and a narna :bannana:
