Was wondering would it be ok to put a square set of MPS5s or anotheron my A207 E class, or would I have to take into consideration the staggered set up: 8.0 front 8.5 rear R18s? Thanks in advance

You can but the tyre on the 8.5 may look stretched.

Why would you want to fit wider or narrower tyres to the OEM rims ?

Apart from going outside the design parameters of the vehicle i would think your insurance company would have something to say if you told them or needed to make a claim.

FWIW - fit the correct sized rubber , the chassis designers at MB know what they are doing and why.

I asked my local Mercedes dealer the same question and the answer was don't do it but my car was the C207E400

Cost of the tyres presumably. 😮

Just priced the MPS5`s via Blackcircles and in the staggered setup the OP would save £75 in total if he went with the same size all round , not worth any grief from the insurance company should it go wrong.

If it was a cost issue then they could look at a lesser brand (Hankook / Goodyear F1) which should save them money and keep the insurance and the cars dynamics happy.

Falken are getting good reviews these days 👌

As long as it's not a 4 matic, you can do what you like. If you have a 4 matic, you want the same size on all corners.
