Squeaking Ball Joints ?

My CLK recently needed replacmenet lower ball joints for the MOT.

However since then, when I turn the car (especially to the left) you always hear a squeaking sound. It's getting annoying now. The mechanic who did the work said it was the brakes.

Thing is it never made the sounds before and even when I'm driving at low speeds and turn without braking it makes those sounds. It only happens when I turn.

Is it the ball joints of something else ?

i'd take it back and ask them to fix the squeeking if it wasnt squeeking before. could be the brakes - dirt or stone stuck?

I have had similiar on a truck and it was dry ball joints fixed by using a fine needle and syringe and some engine oil injected into the joint.

Of course it could be the upper joints that are now noisy.

Well after having taken it back on a number of occasions we still can't get to the bottom of the problem ?

Every time I turn left and there is stress on the driver side front wheel round a corner you'll get a squealing sound for a few revolutions.

It sounded originally like the brakes but it isn't them. Never hear it driving straight on or turning right. The mechanic also had a look at the bearing and greased it up to see if it was that.

Still the same problem and it is annyoing !
