Booked in for rear pad replacement on Thursday. they started to squeak today which I know to be a safety warning to ensure you don't forget. Can I keep driving on them until Thursday? Squeaking has disappeared

You'll hear a grinding noise when they have worn right down:doh:
Can you see if there is any pad left looking through the wheel spokes?
If you can avoid heavy braking you may be OK.

Is the light on or has it been on and now gone off?

Squeak / squeal is unlikely to be due to a wear sensor as they are electrical rather than an old school spring type on your car.

If your wear sensor warning has not appeared on the dash display you will be fine.

Warning lights been on and off for last 3 days

If it's been on and off I think you will be fine for a while. There is still a but if pad material even at the point the sensor is activated.
