Srs Fault

My SRS light on my 2000 E300TD does not go off i have sopken to my mechanic and he says its the N/S SEAT SWOB (SRS) FAULT what is this and where is it located is it a big job?

if it is that fault then: yep, its a pad that goes under the leather..... seat out, taken apart, leather taken off seat, pad inserted in th epassanger seat.... you could buy a pad (£20) and then connect it to the connecter (RED) under your seat to see if that rectifies your SRS fault......

Mine goes off after about 3mins, would this be the same fault?

No mine stays on most of the time but now and agian it flickers
