SRS Light stays on after bulb replacement

I remember reading it somewere, that when the seatbelt isnt on, the car sometimes has the warning light switched on, so you dont have your head blown off by the airbag.

I cleaned around the 'female' part, around the red button and in the shaft (ooh mrs!) and ever since, its been fine :)

Thanks for the advice mate. I'll try polishing my shaft and i'll let you know if it works :D

High Lo - There is a good Indy in Bexleyheath behind the Esso petrol station on The Broadway who has been working on MBs for years.. any good for you..

My neighbour uses him for all his MB repairs and servicing. I will get the phone number if you want me too.. never used him myself coz all my cars are on warranty...

Personally I would contact Braybrooks first 08000 520292 because I think they are the best Indy in Europe for MBs Telematics only.. and there price are very good..!!

Thanks Steve - I'll try KillerHERTZ's cleaning technique first and if I get no luck I'll let you know.

Cheers mate,

I know this may be a stupid thing to ask, but I have just thought of it.

I take it you are not leaving a passenger seat belt plugged in without anyone sitting in the seat.

Coz this will confuse the system and the sensor under the seat wont feel the weight of a person, but the seat belt catch sensor will know the belt has been inserted, and this causes the SRS lamp to light..

Just a thought.... Maybe there is a coin inside the buckle..!!
