Better explain the title...

I don't want to replace the light, just what's triggering the light!

the light came up on the dash together with a nice big red display on the dash as I was going round a corner in the C32.Then it went off, then back on again. Quick trip to the indies and they tell me it's the micro switch in the seat belt buckle, passenger side.

I'm thinking rather than give them £150 to remove the seat, unbolt a seat belt buckle I can DIY it. How hard can it be?:dk:( famous last words...)

They reset the car and the light hasn't come back on in the last 4 days, a proper intermittant fault.

So, does anyone know the best DIY guide to taking out a electric seat in a W203, fitting a new seat belt buckle and refitting the lot back in the car?

It could be the sensor pad in the seat cushion.:thumb:

I would wait until it comes on again before deciding a course of action.

It might just be a one off.
