Just heard from Vicky at Merx, it is the cat. They can get one and fit tomorrow (not a factory one at £1,100!)
I'll let all know how it goes when I get it back.

Hi All
Got the coupe back from Merx and all seems fine!
Took longer than expected as first replacement cat was wrong and second did not fit well so Merx got a third which fitted fine, well done, thanks!
After all that messing about the bill was slightly less than original quote.
Now all I need to sort out is the alarm/immobiliser!

Don't know make, it came via one of two exhaust suppliers they use in Stoke. I'll try to find out make but bill came to £240 + VAT!
