Star diagnosis

Anyone in the Manchester area got a STAR system which I could hire the services of?

I have retrofitted the Comand NTG 2.5 into a W211, all working fine except the dash display. I'm trying to get the cluster to display Nav and Phone information. I understand that I need to version code the cluster.

Dealer was unable/Unwilling to help as the comand cannot communicate with a normal STAR system when retrofitted to a car that previously had Audio 20; although it is not necessary to communicate with the comand only the instrument cluster.

Apparently it lives in the following location if this means something to STAR experts.

control units - information and communication - instrument cluster - adaptations - variant coding
