Star machine socket?

Hi anyone know where the sickest is to connect a star / diagnostics reader is on. 2902 merrdeces e320. I don't see anything obvious beside the bonnet pull.....

The socket is usually on the driver's side of the dashboard and on the lower side.

STAR is Mercedes diagnostic software used to read stored fault codes and allow for resetting or customising.

Great in the trained hand - dangerous in the hands of an amateur.
