Star Mods done by Comand Online Ltd

When I first got my car it really annoyed me not being able to have the temperature displayed all the time! Every other car has this. I think I have just got used to it but this is a great mod.

Nice I need to book my car in soon for a session of programming

I am happy to report that the alarm chirp and date display features are now both enabled on my car, thanks to the ever-helpful Alfie at Comandonline/Unique.

This is in addition to the external temp display, fuel tank capacity, tyre pressure monitoring, and auto-fold side mirrors, all of which have already been enabled on previous visit.

The challenge now is to find something new that needs enabling... ;)

Thanks again Alfie!

Thanks for the pics :)

i'll off down there for exactly the same shortly (Alfie, i'll call this week to book it in) along with a couple of other bits.
I wasn't aware of the chirp option, and it's good to see the uk mode delete option in action.... question on that, if you select speed on the status line does it go back as KM or MPH ?

I already have the folding mirrors and typre pressure monitor (and it's helped me a couple of times now) thanks to Olly when i was down there.

Might need that iPhone kit activation too as that's looking likely to be my next phone

i took my 2006 (56) c180 coupe to mercedes hertford to see if they could star code my car so when i lock it the mirrors fold in, they said they couldnt do it, are they lying??

No, they are correct. Well correct in that they as a dealership couldn't do it because it's not an official MB coding.
Get yourself down to Lightwater and ask if Insight/Comand online will do it for you

what kind of price am i looking at? mercedes were saying £30 i thought that was quite reasonable for a dealer

I was quoted £130 for a code change at my local dealership! Can't find anyone in South Wales as an alternative.

I'd grab the £30 offer with both hands if I were you. Although there is no doubt that ComandOnline guys are the experts and will do that bit more.

Surrey is a long, long way from me though.

i did, i jumped at the it but they couldnt do anything to my car

Email Alfie and he will let you know the current rate, i think they usually charge per session rather than by per modification

some cars the sunroof can be set to close when rain sensor senses rain

Do you know if this is standard on the new c250s?

ORDERED : C250 Saloon AMG Sport Plus Auto in Polar White with Harmon Kardon / Lighting Pack / Panoramic Sunroof

i'd like my windows to go on the rain sensor, but i am not so sure if it's an easy/possible thing

Trip down yesterday to see the guys went well, steering wheel swapped and gearbox coded for paddles, data card updated for the car, full compliment of mods now, love the uk mode delete :D and they fitted and wired my illuminated sills while i was there :)

Excellent, thanks guys :)

Just a thought.........
Is it possible to enable foglights only on constantly with engine running, in the same way as you can enable headlights?

It must be 'possible' as the smart top unit provides this via the dash display, and that isn't hard wired into the foglight circuit.

Its not possible. The smart-top box is sat on the car's CANbus network (between some modules and the rest of the car), so it is the one issuing and interpreting the instructions to the SAM to turn on the front fog-lamps.
