08.15 hrs. yesterday morning on my way home from my Wednesday morning swim the SL cut out.....dead kaput nothing. Bother.....I don't take my phone to swimming.....tried to start the car a few times but it was not having any of it (turning over but not firing).
I was on a down hill slope so I managed to roll to a safe place to park it up and prepare for a healthy 3 miles walk home......gave it one more try and hey presto we are in business......but the yellow/orange picture of an engine is showing on the dash. Drove home without incident.
Breakfast, emails and other essentials before ringing Star at about 09.00 hrs......telephone diagnosis......probably the CPS......bring it in and we will ''have a look''. Will the car get me there? (30 miles) Probably!*?maybe, possibly but if it stops again let it cool and try again.
OK......postpone my 11.00 hrs. appointment and off to Star; no further issues thankfully......telephone diagnosis confirmed by computer and new CPS fitted.
On my way home from Star by 11.00 hrs.
