Is this normal . . .

When travelling at low speed (5-10 mph) and making small steering adjustments from centre to left, there is a noise which I can only describe as a "quiet twang" coming from the steering column area.

It is not present when stationary (regardless of how much I try to reproduce it !!) , and it goes away at about 20-30mph.

Steering feel is unaffected . . but it just doesn't sound quite right !

Any ideas ?

Had that noise on my old car, but it happened for every 180 degrees turn clockwise of the wheel... Never bothered sorting it, but from what I could find out it was an airbag fixing spring.
