I have just joined this group as my recently acquired b150 has a strange feel to the steering. Turning the steering wheel left (anti-clockwise) requires maybe 3 times the force needed to turn right. Local backstreet garage had it on his ramp and after turning steering wheel to full left hand lock and releasing the wheels carried on through to full right hand lock with no input. The g/f won’t drive it now and although it’s only a second car and this condition is manageable would appreciate any theories or diagnosis. Thanks.

You possibly have a problem with the electric steering rack position feedback sensors or the steering angle/rate of turn sensors on the steering column. Best get the car to a MB specialist or dealer with the Mercedes Star diagnostic system.
