steering idler bush

Has anyone changed a seering idler bush,my sl320 has excessive play,is it a diy job? cheers

Done it on a Maserati 430 before, had to have them pressed out on a ten ton press at my local garage, not sure if its the same type of set up on a Merc. Getting the idler arm off wasn't too bad. I'm sure someone who has done it on a Merc will be along soon!

Done it on the similar E320 Coupe 124 1995.

Straightforward if you got the normal range of car DIY tools.
