E300DT-W210-1997-Elegance-Azurite Metalic Blue. (Don't mention the rust, LOL) Running on WVO. 65k m
Here are some pictures of my steering wheel.
Question is, is this acceptable wear for 62k miles?
Did the other owner have greasy/moist hands
I have cleaned the wheel, do the lighter wheels wear quicker?

Oh thats three questions

i reckon that colour could well cause that type of wear on that mileage. I've seen several 70k cars with similar wear.

Nothing to indicate a clocked car if thats what you're worried about IMO.

p.s. you could get a replacement steering wheel from ebay fairly cheap.

I looked at lots of 210s before I bought mine and thats not unusual

Does the car pull to the left at all, it's just hat the wear looks like the driver has been gripping with their right hand in an effort to counteract pull.

In reality the wear looks normal for that colour. Just buy a recolouring kit and redo it.

Thanks all, I've had the car for 2 months now and didn't pull when I bought it.
No other signs of wear and tear pointing to more than 62k miles.
I did think the wheel had just worn naturally but thats quite poor for MB?

How much are the re-colouring kits?

bet the driver mostly only uses the right hand with elbow propped on door handle.

Thats how i drive and my steering wheel is the same.

There was a post recently and the op had repainted his wheel and was going to post some pics for us to see as i am interested in doing mine.

Just wait for the drivers door handle to go all sticky:(
