Hi All, i have upgraded my command head unit from the old tape deck version to the nav with tape deck (only unit i could straight swap)

What DVD rom do i need for the nav ? There are so many versions !

And i think im only missing the Nav areial (i have located one on ebay for a tenna)

This is an early W211? You say you have swapped the head unit to a COMAND but the description is confusing, a new COMAND should not have any tape drive.

If it is an NTG1 head unit (that fits directly in place of the earlier Audio 20 CD head unit), you would need a navi processor to the trunk to have navigation supported. The Navi DVD would be inserted to the DVD drive at the trunk.

Hi. Sorry for the confusion.

Would I need a boot processor ? The ariel jack for the nav ( blue plug is on the rear of the head unit) so I thought the nav processor would be built in the unit ???

But that is not a COMAND head unit, looks like Audio 50 APS instead. Navigation is integrated to Audio 50 APS. Need a maps CD.
