Stereo Upgrade

I have a 2008 M320 and I want to upgrade the stereo. Happy to carry out the work myself as I’m an electrician by trade. Has anyone got any experience of Pluscentre and their products? Can anyone recommend an alternative supplier? Thank You in advance.

I used some of the Chinese units off eBay, easy install plug and play with all the steering buttons etc working as normal. Is it just the headunit or speakers as well?

I believe it comes with the facility to use the existing speakers, speedo display and steering wheel buttons. I haven’t got a reversing camera, just a tone device with lights at the front of the car and one at the rear that I can see in the mirror. Hopefully that is a separate unit etc.

I intention is to link it to my iPhone for operation so I don’t think I need one with a sim, so I am considering the cheapest version.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience of these products for their Merc and would recommend which one to purchase

Steering wheel buttons, yes.

Speedo (instrument cluster) display, typically no - this only works with original MB units.

I assume the rest of the instrument display works like fuel information etc.

2GB of Ram is too little these days; it will chug unless all it is doing is projecting and amplifying though it still has to render images and process audio signals, so....

4GB would suffice
