(And where does ebay, autotrader etc. get distances from? Ebay says 70 miles from Preston to Derby but actual is just over 100 miles)

Ebay/autotrader takes it distances from as the crow flys so yes they are vastly out. I found a car a few months ago on trader which was displayed as 30 odd miles away from me, when i phoned about it it was in Barnstaple which is about 30 miles away if i swim directly across the bristol channel!! By road its about 150.
