Still searching….

From a quick search on Autotrader if it wasn't a categorised car then the market value would be 4-5 grand. So at 2 grand or below i think it is an absolute bargain 😎
Well I couldn’t get it for £2k, but we quickly reached an agreement we both thought was very fair. Taking everything into account I’m very pleased!

"A good deal, is one that benefits both parties" :thumb:

Pleased to read that you've found something you like, on a downside I guess it means the beginning of the end of this thread that I've been following with interest.

Excellent buy! For your reassurance, have owned an E280 and they are great cars. I have also owned a cat D car for a few years which was absolutely no problem, but just a chance to get into a much more modern car at bargain price.
I also admit to being 70 and so hardly ever drive my cars at more than 200mph on the road anymore….😉

Haha! I just thought it was better buying from a chap who was 70 and cared for the car over someone younger that’s let everything slide. 69000 miles on a 57 plate E Avantgarde… It’s almost unseen! Yay for me 😃

....way back in 2006, a pre-facelift E280 estate....
Have fun with yours!

Omg it’s got isofix! I keep finding things!

Oh and someone mentioned to me about having the gearbox serviced and transmission oil changed. Looking at the paperwork the previous owner had the car serviced every year and also had a gearbox oil change and service 3 years ago! About 9k miles ago. Winning 🙌🏻
2 rear springs changed. New rear brake calipers. A new air conditioning condenser last summer. All 4 tyres are thick with tread.
It’s early days, but the trip back was town, country and 70mph roads. It drives exceptionally well and everything feels strong. 68900 miles on the clock.
That’s about all I can tell you right now!
