Hey guys, its been one week with my new MAF sensor in my 99 C230K with 80 000kms. Car has its fullest power but the tranny is acting worse now with the new MAF.....harsher jerky shifts when driving moderately and occasionally it likes to hold the 3rd gear for awhile. With the old MAF...the shifts were right on and noticeable only by the tach.

How are these crappy transmissions supposed to shift anyways? In 1 wk its going in for the ATF change at MB but will this help this? I posted aswell steps how to reset the gearbox yourself which I done and did help slightly but its not as smooth as before.

Today im disconnecting the battery for a few hours to see if this helps.

Any other suggestions? Im starting to worry.

I would not disconnect the battery if i was you.

I had teh same problem and disconnected the battery and when reconnected blew the rear sam module.

Chances are you need to get the ecu reset to give the car a fresh start and then see what happens.

Changing the atf is something i have to do but i would get a dealer to do a full reset first.

oops too late. Havent turned on the car yet but batt was disconnected for 2 hrs and plugged it back now.
