I know this is a 204 thread but, I would love to know what my absolutely bone-stock C63S is outputting to the wheels - i'd like to think its the quoted 502bhp, it certainly feels like it!

Yes i have the w205 c63 now and tbh its a better car in every way don't get me wrong I loved the w204 ,i find the 205 is easier to drive, speed and handling is effortless better tec also they do sound good (if you have the performance exhaust) some will say its a backwards step but if you get the chance drive 1 and all will be apparent (I wasn't sure at 1st)Wowww, that's great to hear, it's pretty mental to think that my motor is 11 years old and still spits out north of 500 rampaging horses!
Have you got the W205 C63 now? How does that compare to your previous W204?
Spider, I suspected it might be all of those positives that you listed, I might have to pop into my local MB dealership and "pretend" to want to buy one to take it for a spin! I do have to say I think the noise from the W204 is better... I think a 6.2 naturally aspirated jobby under the bonnet just produces the most incredible sound!Yes i have the w205 c63 now and tbh its a better car in every way don't get me wrong I loved the w204 ,i find the 205 is easier to drive, speed and handling is effortless better tec also they do sound good (if you have the performance exhaust) some will say its a backwards step but if you get the chance drive 1 and all will be apparent (I wasn't sure at 1st)
Trust me, the 4.0TT is just as sonorous, don't knock it till you've tried it ...Spider, I suspected it might be all of those positives that you listed, I might have to pop into my local MB dealership and "pretend" to want to buy one to take it for a spin! I agree, the W205 does sound amazing and the interior is way better IMO. I found the seats in the W204 to be better than the W205 however. The dealership I bought mine from had a W205 C63s with some aftermarket exhaust system fitted on it and it did sound pretty special, I sat in it, and now I'm kicking myself that I didn't take it for a quick spin.Yes but yours is the BS totally different car
Now the BS is a totally different animal, one can only dream!Yes but yours is the BS totally different car
Have you got any pictures of your BS that you can share?Drove a 205 c63 a few times, still own my 204 c63.
But is it though..?Now the BS is a totally different animal, one can only dream!
That just makes it all the more satisfying when you rinse 4 other cars in the same overtake and everyone thinks you're in a cooking model (until they actually hear you pass with the throttle pinned). When I pinpoint it, I think I get annoyed that the W205 C63 doesn't completely stand out from the MB line up, you see so many C Classes that look identical to the full fat C63, you only find out when the diesel engine drones past you or you get up close to check They look great don't get me wrong, but I find it annoying that it doesn't stand head and shoulders different to the lineup.
That was abit tongue in cheek I didn't want to encourage you to max it on a public roadI agree, the W205 does sound amazing and the interior is way better IMO. Also, don't know how I feel about maxing the car out on the Dyno, I feel like that could be bad and very expensive haha!
For me, it's what the Black Series represents, it's the baddest of the baddest Mercedes and the bodywork on it makes it look just that little bit more special. But is it though..?
Same drivetrain but with some cooling upgrades for hard use and bigger brakes (not needed on the road). The only thing worth paying for imo is the wider track widths and the associated bodywork that looks ace. Suspension can be replicated by fitting a set of KW V3 for £2.5k.
Now this is very true and something I have overlookedThat just makes it all the more satisfying when you rinse 4 other cars in the same overtake and everyone thinks you're in a cooking model (until they actually hear you pass with the throttle pinned).
Haha! There is a 3-mile or something runway literally down the road from me for small Aircraft, a friend of mine knows the people who run it and I cheekily asked if I could spank my motor down it and they said yes, to my surprise...That was abit tongue in cheek I didn't want to encourage you to max it on a public road
In Comfort mode with the windows downAt that speed your only in 6th aswell
