Stolen Car

A millionaire supercar dealer I knew a few years back used to drive around in an old focus for his daily use and only ever drove one of his "nicer" cars when he was visiting equally rich mates. He often said he had no need to impress the unwashed... One way of looking at it I guess..

I just remembered, back in the early 90s I had a Citroen ZX 16V and that had a keypad in the centre console that you had to type a pin number in to start the car. I always thought that was a neat idea.

I had a MK1 Ford Escort in my youth which I could start with my parents front door key. It never got stolen though, petrol siphoned more than one once but never stolen. :)

I remember those in the Xantia. The number pads didn't wear that well, so you needed to change your PIN periodically otherwise someone might try to guess!

I remember fingerprint recognition many years ago, it was soon forgotten when story's were told of thieves just cutting someones finger off to steal their car.
