Hey guys,

I have a C250 2015 Mercedes and recently I’ve gotten a message on the dash saying ‘stop car too low’ and the entire front of the car goes very low. (The back is fine) and the car literally bounces up and down when driving. This has happened like twice in the last month or so. Recently I had a faulty battery which I got changed at the dealership and they said because the battery was faulty it could have been causing other parts to malfunction so that could be the reason. However after the battery was replaced its still displaying the same message. After doing some research online people are saying it could be some sort of air leak on the suspensions and people advising to press the ‘airmatic button’ however my car doesn’t have one I believe. So was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the matter or would it have to be taken to the dealership immediately.

Many thanks,
Danny

Hi Danny, best thing to do is to get it to an independent Mercedes dealer to look at. Could be lots of things from simple to not so simple. Guessing with these cars can be an expensive game.

Left hand side of the rotary dial in the centre console. Do you have a button with an outline of a car and an arrow? That should make the car go up and you will get a display on the dash saying "Car rising".

Hi, yes I do have that button. I assumed it would be the airmatic button after a bit of research. I tried pressing it but it did nothing. When I got in the car last night it just would not go up. The car kept saying car is rising (Without me pressing the button) but it was still very low, so ended up taking it to the garage. Many thanks for the reply.

What did the garage say was the issue?

That's a shame. You did have the engine running didn't you? ;)

Sounds like a job for a specialist. Probably a sensor or an air leak. Let us know how you get on.
