We had it here 2 nights ago and last night...Northern Ireland.

Any ideas how far south it's likely to be visible?

Happens in Scotland all the time! Coming to Britain ffff!

I was in North West Scotland during the most spectacular display in living memory (Nov 2003 I think...or it might have been 2002!) It was an amazing sight and something I will never forget. :)

There are many variables involved, so difficult to predict.

I would imagine that down in the south we'll need to find some dark skies to the north. Wait a good 30 mins for vision to adjust fully - it'll be no good just having a peek out of the window (unless it is amazingly spectacular). Forecast for Sussex is for 40% cloud cover, so I'll probably take a punt and check out one of my dark sky sites - might even take the scope and have a squint at a few things if the skies are OK.

Did anyone see anything?

I looked outside circa 11.30pm last night and saw nothing.

There's still time if we are lucky enough to have clear skies.

"Two CMEs are expected to arrive in the next 24-48 hours and further...displays are possible some time over the next two nights if skies are clear."
