When I turn to the right,my front passenger side makes a strange scraping noise which seems to be coming from the wheel area. No sound when turning to the left. Have had it checked out and no obvious explanation for this noise. Brakes and discs are fine. Car is a 2007 C280. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bent disc dust plate?

Wheel bearing on the way out?

Wheel bearing would be my guess. Really needs to be inspected to be sure.

Parking brake cable rubbing on the propshaft would be my first thought.

Have you had any work done on your brakes recently?
A common issue can be the spring retainer clips the pad sit in not being in the correct position, A slight bit of pressure from a right or left turn can cause them to rub on the discs and it sounds horrendous. But its really nothing serious. Its not obvious unless you examine the clips closely. By that I mean wheel off, head inside wheel well and watch the stainless steel spring clips as you rotate the wheel, if they get close or almost touch the discs while turning, remove the caliper and reposition the clips. Solved that issue on a few cars mercs and others.
