Well the time has come to part company with this beauty. I fancy another E55 and a bike and I don't have the room for all of them.

Here's the low down....

Absolutely stunning black (040) 1994 SL600, with a silky smooth 6ltr V12, producing 394bhp, complete with genuine and very rare AMG bodykit, Lorinser boot spoiler and staggered 18" OZ Opera Split Rims.

This car can only be described as in beautiful condition, no rust, original paintwork, no accident damage.
It gets admiring looks wherever I take it and has to be one of the best looking R129's around (IMHO;))

Only 77,000 miles
Full service history, mainly MB and MB specialist.
MOT till August 2011 (Will put new MOT on for buyer).
Tax until end July
Gorgeous 'Brabus' style wood and leather steering wheel and AMG gear knob.
Black leather interior, virtually unmarked.
Electric eveything inc seats (memory), roof, even the rear view mirror!
Climate control.
Two stage heated seats.
Quality stereo/cd changer.
Cruise control.
Wind Deflector.
Custom exhaust from cats back (sounds amazing!).
Genuine AMG floor mats.
AMG pedals.
Black mohair soft top.
Hard top.
Car related private reg number.

The list goes on....

Two years ago I had some major work carried out at PCS which consisted of the engine and gearbox being removed and new head gaskets being installed due to oil leaking from the front of one of the heads.

Whilst this was being done the following new genuine parts were fitted;

Engine mounts X 2.
Rotor arms and distributor caps X 2.
Breather hoses.
A/C pipe seals and re-gas.
Inlet manifold gaskets X 2.
Coolant changed.
Oil & filter changed.
K & N Air filters X 2.
Sump gasket.
Fuel filter.
Crankshaft oil seal.
Transmission fluid changed.
Engine wiring loom replaced due to degrading.
Bosch Spark plugs X 12.
New air pump bearings.

I have also had the following additional work carried out;

New front discs and pads (less than 300 miles ago).
New rear pads.
New rear hydrualic suspension struts.
New rear suspension accumulators.
New steering damper.
New under bonnet insulation pad.
New brake light switch.
New front fog lamp.
New front anti roll bar bushes and mounts (not fitted, but included in the sale).

As you can imagine, all the above was carried out at considerable cost during the past three years.

There are a few things to point out that I haven't had time to get sorted out yet.

Firstly there is a fault with the ADS (adaptive damping) which has been diagnosed to a faulty rear level valve. This means that the ADS system defaults to the firm, sport setting all the time. This doesn't bother me as I prefer a harder ride. The cost for a new valve is around £300 from MB, plus fitting.

Secondly the traction control (ASR) doesn't work, it never has since I have owner it. Again, it doesn't bother me, it just makes the driving experience more fun!

Thirdly, the plastic windows in the soft top could do with replacing at sometime in the future, they are not really bad but there are two small cracks appearing and they have started to go milky. They don't leak. There are companies who will replace them for around £395. To be honest I hadn't bothered getting them done as I only drive it with the roof down and they are rarely seen.

Last of all the wheels could do with a refurb to make them look 100%. They are very presentable and only one has very minor kerb damage. If I were keeping the car I was going to have the centres colour coded in black and the lips mirror polished.

All in all this is a rare and beautiful car and has given me lots of pleasure. The only reason it is up for sale is that I want another motorbike and maybe another Facelift W210 E55 in black.

Any inspection welcome. (Please note that the pictures show the front tow eye cover missing. I have a brand new one that needs to be painted, ready to go with the car).

The private, car related plate is included with the car, however, I may sell the car without the private plate if I get the right offer.

Forgot to say, I will consider a PX against a late plate (Facelift) W210 E55 with cash my way obviously, preferably in black, mileage unimportant but condition must be spot on and have comprehensive history.

I would also consider a cruiser style motorbike, large engine (750-1200cc), must be mint etc.

Ok, I'm really having a 'me want' for another W210 E55 so I'm going to list it once more at a reduced price of £8495. No silly offers please ;)
 
Well after three more years of ownership and less than another thousand miles it really is time to let someone else enjoy this gorgeous car. It just doesn't get used and I could put the money to better use.

The wheels now have black centres with polished lips which look stunning and really complement the car. Everything else is as per the original advert. Car is currently sorned and MOT is due soon which I will put a fresh one on for the new owner.

I've spent a small fortune getting the car to how it is now so I'm not going to give it away, however I realise running a V12 isn't for everyone. With that in mind I'm looking for offers close to £7995.
