I remember those early 80's side strip accessories. Hopefully they're stuck on with tape, as they really do need removing.

That colour was colloquially known, in pre-PC days, as Jewish Racing Gold. I well remember driving around Golders Green trying to find our way to Brent Cross, and it seemed every third car parked on the street was a Mercedes in that colour.
