Hi all, new to the forum and have a question for any electronic experts.
Ive recently put some audi style wing mirror indicators on my 12 plate w204.
They work ok with hazards on but quick flash with indicators.
Ive tried a 6 ohm load resistor in parallel to the lights but that just caused them to not light at all.
When i get chance, im thinking of mesuring the resistance of the origional indicators, measuring the new and trying to work out the actual resistor size i need to wire in parallel to make these the same.
Any help or advise from someone who has found a fix would be nice.
Thanks in advance and sorry to be so boring on my first post

6 ohms in your wing mirrors would be too low. You would be drawing 2 amps/25 watts.
That value would be about right for front or rear indicators.
Is the original bulb in the mirror led or incandescent?

Im not 100%,i think they are led. Its a facelift w204 if that helps.
Ill measure the resistance of the old unit compared to the new one when i get a day off.
Do you know if you can just get the car flashed(i think is the term) to accept different ones to standard?

The indicators in the wing mirror on all W204s are LED.

(As opposed to the rear light cluster which is LED only on the facelift).
