Anyone every used any products by sudzbox I've been recommended by a friend to check out their products. Any comments?

Can't say I've ever heard of them and not appeared on DetailingWorld but that doesn't mean their products are bad by any means.

There are actually quite a few smaller independent detailing brands out there. I know at least two people who started up their own brands. One is Waximax and the other is ADS Care Care.

You'd be surprised how many products are actually made by the same labs as well. Made by the same chemical lab and almost identical products but sold at very different prices! haha

Now that's interesting... would you be able to give me some hints on like for likes as the cost effective options? Could PM not to discuss publicly :D

There are so many people trying to make a quick buck in the detailing sector and getting their products made by one of a few factories who are offering minimum order levels and own label.
The big problem is, these are part time lads having a go, but have no product liability insurance, 'customer service' is by mobile or e-mail (ie when it suits them) and the same products are sold, as has been mentioned, at wildly different prices.
If the product goes wrong, you're on your own.

Frankly, if you have a decent car, I wouldn't take the risk. You wouldn't with oil, brake pads or filters so not a great idea with bodywork products.

However, if you have a 2 grand Corsa you've got nothing to lose....

Well I have a friend who is an extremely good detailer who I know has worked on cars here and is obviously very well clued up on the whole detailing scene.

Basically there's a company called Car-Chem who will make tailor made products for you. (Bespoke Car Care | Tailor Made | Unique Specialised Handmade)

They're not bad products from what I've used but you can usually spot them by the packaging as the bottles all look pretty similar.

That said a chap I know was selling his own brand glass sealant made by Car-Chem for about £12 a bottle. Another well known brand, who sell their products in fancy looking matt black bottles sold an almost identical sealant made by the same firm for £20+ per bottle.

The irony is that I was chatting to another car mate about it and even though he knew it was essentially the same product he wanted to stick with the more expensive brand because of the brand!! :dk:
