can anyone recommend a suitable grease/lubricant spray for the side mirror folding mech on my 211. It seems to be plastic on plastic but makes a creaking noise when folding and unfolding, not sure what lubricant/grease to use?

cheers

White lithium spray grease seems to work well on mine.

Silicon spray is good for plastics and rubber. Its also an electrical insulator.

Silicon spray is good for plastic and rubber , but will need doing from time to time , if water gets in there it will wash it out .Small brush with silicon grease on it, and push it in to the joint , it will last longer .Clean off the outsude of the mirror after .

Best leave them if you can, If you fold them in and out it breaks the wires to them eventually.

They’ve both been repaired by the looks of the history?

UPDATE: Some PTFE Spray on the rubber and they are now silent.

Thanks everyone :)
