Sultan of Brunei's Bentleys

The MD of my firm has a Continental SE, it's okay, though he was at the races, forgot it was in gear, let go the brake and whoops, a 'post' delivery modification, ie hit a post.

Have to say, I see a few round and about, notably when I was using disabled spaces during my 'unable to walk' phase. Usually parked across two disabled spots (no blue badge of course). We do have one and I must admit we used it in that phase, improperly, as it is issued to my husband, not me, but it was a true temporary need.

So, I generally say that I see more of those Bentleys than of my little car in its colour!

Wow a Bentley hater lol.......... sad. :fail

No, not a Bentley hater, but a 'misuse of disabled space' disapprover. Note the colour of my car, I always say it's a Marmite decision!

This is what happens when people have too much money. C140 front, W140 middle and S210 back......it's only virtue being a 7.3 V12 engine.

And why exactly do people find it a problem? It looks fairly inoffensive to me, and what's not to like about a 7.3 V12?

Looking at the Sultan's Bentleys, some of them look pretty odd, but how much does he care what we think? Ask Paul Daniels...

Who said Bentley never made estates? Oddly enough, though, none of them look like those occasionally seen in this country, all of which seem to bear a striking resemblance to the Chrysler 300C estate, except for the badges.

I think in order to appreciate the true significance of these cars you have to adopt the mindset of the Sultan of Brunei-- just think of them as slightly oversize Dinky Toys. :(

When I was working at Crewe a few years ago, it was known fact that the Sultan kept Bentley/RR afloat during the difficult late eighties early nineties with his ££££ one off investments....

For which I'm sure the shareholders in BMW and VW are very grateful. :p

Still have to admit when you stick that Spirit of Ecstasy on the radiator even something that resembles a brick on wheels takes on certain appeal.

Yes I was involved with Prince Jefri and that is very true, in fact if it wasn't for them the Bentley Continental would not have been produced. They financed the build.
