Don't forget folks, less than a week to go for the MBClub summer GTG at Kettering.

The date is Sunday 20th June from 11am onwards, the place is Express Autoparts Ltd, Garrard Way, Telford Way Ind Estate, Kettering. Northants, NN16 8TD. There will be various yellow number plate signs with 'MBClub' and an arrow pointing you in the right direction.

There are various attractions inluding:

DB Tints - Window tinting specialist.
MobileCentreUK - Various GPS/Radar/Speed Camera detectors.
Air Jacks - Jaymanek will be demonstrating and selling his excellent air jacks.
Number Plates - Jimmy will be able to make number plates and 'signs' whilst you wait.
Express AutoParts - The shop will be open sometime through the day, let me know if there is anything in particular you want and I will do my best.
Chips Away - Local stone chip/scratch specialist repairs.
Cook your own BBQ, I supply the BBQ and the tools, you supply the food and cook it yourself.
Refreshments.
Bring and buy - buy, exchange and sell surplus MB parts.

There will also be some competitions just for fun, we all get to vote and the winners get a prize and a MBClub certificate.

Cleanest car.
The car you would most like to drive home.
Dirtiest car.
Favorite mod - not most modded!

Everybody is welcome, bring the family and pets if you like. Don't worry if you don't have a Mercedes, there is planty of off-site partking. :D There are plenty of local travelodge's for people travelling a bit further.

Please feel free to ask any questions, I look forward to meeting you all (well most of you ;) ) on Sunday.

(Please be aware that the main road through/around Kettering will be closed this weekend between Jct 7 and 8 for bridgeworks. This should only affect people travelling from the East, come through the town or Jct8 and then Gipsy Lane.)

I was reminded by the boss (because I had forgot) that Sunday is Father's Day. "What idiot would organise a meet on Father's Day?", she asked. "Tsk, I know ...", I meekly agreed.

:D

**A14 Traffic Congestion**

As advised before, the A14 is closed between Jct8 and 7, ideally you would exit at Jct 7 to get to the GTG. People travelling from the M1/M6 West heading East will be OK as will people coming from the North A6 Market Harborough and A43 Corby.

For those coming from the East heading West on the A14 from the M11/A1 I strongly advise exiting the A14 at Jct 11, 10 or 9 and heading through Kettering town or even bypass Kettering earlier and approach from the A43 Corby. Today has been bad westbound from Jct9 with very, very slow traffic for 4 miles or so but Sunday should be quieter.

If you come off at Jct8 turn right and take a left on the sharp right hand bend called Gipsy Lane, at the end turn right opposite the crematorium and at the next roundabout 2nd exit onto Garrard Way.

If you come through the town keep heading for the Hospital (well signposted!) as you go past the Hospital, on the left as you go up the hill, Garrard Way runs parrallel with the main road, at the roundabout take 4th exit onto Garrard Way.

The GTG is at the bottom of Garrard Way on the right hand side. There will be some yellow signs to look out for with MBClub on them.

See you all tomorrow! :)
