What suggestions have we got for looking after the seal around a sun roof please?

My son's vehicle is well looked after but he has a green mould around the seal of the sun roof. I have read about using a vinegar solution, but at present I am leaning more towards a brush and scrubbing it with a fairly strong mixture of car shampoo?

What do folks recommend please?

Regards,
John

i'd like to know too,, ??

Best available but not cheap.

Zymol

I'm assuming it's rubber but if it's fabric type then the autoglym fabric hood cleaner/conditioner may be better.

And I have some I'll bring in August

google "303 aerospace protectant"

Nothing beats that in my opinion

I get mould on my window seals and I very carefully paint mould killer on, then rinse it off after a few mins. Seems to work, but I do worry that it might damage the paintwork.

I've had the same thing on the seal around the sunroof on my W202. I used car shampoo and a toothbrush. This worked well on the window seals too. :bannana:

I think the seal around the sun roof is cloth based but I certainly bow to anyone that states anything different.

John

Definately 303 Aerospace protectant or Autoglym Bumper Care or 1z plastic/rubber protector. 303 is my favorite. This is for Rubber.

If cloth based then you could try 303 fabric protector. But do clean it first.
