Sunblinds

No experience myself but agree look good. Could be tempted if anyone has positive feedback on these

Hi,
I bought mine from MB, about £40-£50 for a side window they simply clip to the top of the door panel, slip the top of the blind on the top edge of the window, then put the window up to remove just lower the window to the bottom and the clip of the blind slips off of the window edge.

Hi Andy,

Do you have a part number ?

It looks like the ones advertised here don't go up and down and are fixed items that will eventually get knocked about, get in the way, and eventually land up in the bin

Hi,
Pt. No.'s for rear side window blinds for a W202 Saloon,
Left hand, B6 669 1185
Right hand, B6 669 1184
Rear Window, B6 669 1183
Installation kit for the above, B6 669 1179
I have found a pt. no. for an electric rear window blind with remote control pt. no. B6 669 1196, additional remote B6 669 1197.
Installation kit for remote operated blind above, B6 669 1198
I know the two side window blinds are still good numbers, but regarding the others I don,t know.

I do have some pt. no.'s for the e class but only the 210 not a 211

I bought mine here:

excellent fit but expensive. Can't remember exact price but about £140..

Hi all,

I had these in a previous car, same sort of price - excellent shade for the rear seats but you need to be very careful when initially installing the clips that hold the shades in place.

I did find it harder to look back through the rear driver-side window (e.g. when checking the blind-spot), and I found the 2-part shade for the back window used a lot less than the 2 rear side window shades. Great for minding the kids though!

Cheers,
Eddie.

thanks, i was wandering about the 2 part rear screen shade - presumably its in 2 parts for easy fitting and they just butt upto eachother when fitted?

Does anyone have any part numbers/costs for blinds for a 202 estate?

cheers

David

I've got blinds on my car and I really like them. I bought them second hand from another member on this forum.

They are genuine Mercedes and are actually slim black mesh roller blinds which clip to the top of the door card. When the rear passenger windows are raised or lowered the blinds go up and down automatically. The tailgate blind (mine's an estate) is also a roller blind and the two rear side windows have fixed panels.

Expensive new but a good alternative to permanently tinted windows.

How hard was that to fit Karl ? - is your electric ?

Found this link which seems to show the various parts numbers required.

Just been playing around....this link has most W203/w203 part numbers for trim and extras.

thanks, the MB ones were my first choice but i stopped pricing it up after i found the correct one for ONE of the rear sides for £80!! Good on you for getting a used set.

No, its manual. Fairly easy to fit. next time you get in your car have a look at the parcelshelf, note that there is a 'trench' at the back, just infront of the highlevel brakelight, this 'trench' is where the blind fits.

2x Screws into the parcelshelf on each corner, and at the top 2 tiny clips slot under the C pillar/roof lining.

Hi,
I don,t think the rear manual blind is available from MB any more though the fitting kit is, they still listed a price but once they tried to order it they found, it was,nt in stock at Milton Keynes, and there was,nt any in stock in Germany either, i got mine through a dealer search and Weir's in Aberdeen were the only UK dealer to have one. If anyone decides to buy the roller type blind for the 202 side windows, please check that they extend and retract fully, and that the wire stiffeners are not poking through their vinyl coverings at either end of the blind, they had to order 4 passenger side blinds before there was a perfect one.

Any pictures of the side ones? I missed a set on eBay that went for peanuts a couple of years ago and havent seen any since
