My Lad just left some nice white suncream factor 50 smudges on my black leather seats... :( Whats the best way to remove/lift this out of the leather? If i use leather wipes i'm worried i'm going to smear the mess further

Your help would be appreciated

Steve

I had the same problem.
Wiped off as much as possible with clean terry cloth, the applied a leather cleaner (use Sonus). Did the trick.

Need to act on it today, before it drives me mad

dont think you are the first just google it leather is a sort of skin so may be ok unless its the sort thats self tans.
you could ring them up and ask for help (the company that make it)

clean it with gliptone (search on ebay) and then put on a leather conditioning cream (can buy as a pair).

I was talking with a leather trim specialist at Jay's GTG last month and he recommended a mild Fairy liquid solution and a damp cloth to clean the leather seats. Wipe off with a damp cloth and buff.

Apparently the leather is PU coated on modern cars and so doesn't absorb treatments (not sure if this is true for Nappa). When I told him I used Gliptone, he said fine if only for the smell, 'cos it won't "treat" the leathr.

Thanks for the advice, i've got it out with light soapy water, will treat it after. So glad it has not marked.

Bang on. If you buy leather cleaner it is just mild detergent and added water.

Gets echo'y in here sometimes.
