Sunroof question

When i open my sunroof, it never seems to fully open. There seems to be an extra bit at the back that doesnt roll back. Is that normal?? Or is it faulty???

Hmm I'm trying to see a connection to Engine.... uuhhh, uhhh, uhhh, Nope can't see it, would have thought this post would be better off in the bodywork or interior sections.


*EDIT* My previous car, 1986 190E, was exactly how you describe, The roof section would not fully recess into the back but leave a little sticking out, as Ian said, entirely normal for W201's and W124's.
