Sunspots

Funny you should mention that because my Tomtom took a good 3 to 4 mins yesterday before it could see satelites.

It was perfect today though.

If you are in Scotland may see some fine Aurora tonight, cloud coverage permitting.

Otherwise the rest of us will just get lousy radio reception, iffy mobile connections, GPS playing up and maybe some blackouts if EMF surges in the National Grid start tripping protection relays.

Strange as we are at a sunspot minimum at the minute in terms of the 11-year solar cycle.

What fascinating reading. I'm so envious of our Scottish pals. My one dream in life is to see the Aurora Borealis :dreaming smiley:

Be interesting to hear how the lovely Jane on the TTG has fared today as she has been a bit dodgy the past few days

I saw them in Norway in 1992. Jaw-dropping :D

Always used to blame them for lost comms when I was in the army  fooled all the Officers and sometimes it was true.....honest!
